Two movies on the same CD

Hi All

If 2 movies are on the same CD, is it possible to modify bsplayer.ini in the way that BSPlayer will play both (one, then the other) ?

Is it possible to specify sub-title and other prefs for each movie ?

Also : Am I missing something ? ... but I looked for a search button to make a general search on this subject in this forum, and I didn't find any.

Regards,
Sebas

somebody asked a similar question recently but I think he hasn't got an answer yet.
Here's what I tested today (it works ;))

I've got 6 files in the root directory of my CD:

essai1.bsi
essai2.bsi

file1.avi
file2.avi

sub1.srt
sub2.srt

the bsi files read

essai1.bsi
Code:

[Main]
NumberCDs=2
CD=1

[Movie]
Title=kindofplaylist
Directory=.
FName=file1.avi
FName2=file2.avi

[subtitles]
directory=.
sub1=sub1.srt

essai2.bsi
Code:

[Main]
NumberCDs=2
CD=2

[Movie]
Title=kindofplaylist
Directory=.
FName=file2.avi

[subtitles]
directory=.
sub1=sub2.srt

This way the videos are displayed one after another and you can set specific settings for each movie.
As far as I know, this is not possible with only one bsi file

Tx for your answer, Quietseb.

I tried it, but it didn't work, I don't know why.
If I double-click on BSPlayer (on the same folder as bsi files), it just play the 1st film without options (no skin, no full screen) and then stop (without playing the 2nd film)

If I click on tintin1.bsi, it plays the 1st film with option, but then repeats it from beginning in place of playing the 2nd one.

I had no luck :-)

List of the files :
tintin1.bsi
tintin2.bsi
Tintin - Vol 714 pour Sydney.avi
Tintin et les Picaros.mpg
bplay.exe
bsrendv.dll

(my autorun is unable, but I think it's not a pb since its action is the same as clicking on bsplay.exe, no ?)

tintin1.bsi
Code:

[Main]
NumberCDs=2

CD=1
[Movie]
Title=Vol 714 pour Sydney - Les Picaros
Directory=.
FName=Tintin - Vol 714 pour Sydney.avi
FName2=Tintin et les Picaros.mpg

[Options]
FullScreen=1
Audio=1
Skin=anthracite
Lang=French
AudChan=2
Aspect=4:3

RunHD=0

tintin2.bsi
Code:

[Main]
NumberCDs=2
CD=2

[Movie]
Title=Vol 714 pour Sydney - Les Picaros
Directory=.
FName=Tintin - Vol 714 pour Sydney.avi
FName2=Tintin et les Picaros.mpg

[Options]
FullScreen=1
ExitAtEnd=1
Audio=1
Skin=anthracite
Lang=French
AudChan=2
Aspect=4:3

RunHD=0

Best regards
Sebas

In your 2nd bsi file, you have:
Quote:

Code:

[Movie]
Title=Vol 714 pour Sydney - Les Picaros
Directory=.
FName=Tintin - Vol 714 pour Sydney.avi
FName2=Tintin et les Picaros.mpg

I think you should try this instead:
Code:

[Movie]
Title=Vol 714 pour Sydney - Les Picaros
Directory=.
FName=Tintin et les Picaros.mpg

(only one FName line)
that's what I had in my previous code. I know it doesn't seem completely logical but... it works :roll:

Hi Quietseb,

So, that was the secret ! Yes, like that it's working all right.
Too bad I burned my CD today :-)

I guess I should buy some glasses, because it was in the very right form in your first reply.

And, BTW, I found the search field of this forum, that, very strangely, is not on the index page but on each post page.

All the best for you, and tx again. I've learned something today.

I think there's no need to have the FName2 entry in the bsi, it's an old feature for movie on multiple cd with the bsi only on the first cd...

Hi, i am making my ini's this way, and i added the CHAPTERS, so i can change from one file to another, every thing work's great, but if it's playing in FULLSCREEN when the file changes, it adds the borders like in window mode only to the top and left side, but still in Fullscreen size, then i have to switch to window mode then to Fullscreen to fix it...
Is there a way i can fix this?

File1.bsi
Code:

[Main]
NumberCDs=2
CD=1

[Movie]
Title=Movie [Episode 1]
Directory=.
FName=Movie01.avi
AudioName1=Japanese
AudioName2=English

[Subtitles]
Directory=.
Sub1=English|english01.sub

[CHAPTERS1]
1=0 Episode 1

[CHAPTERS2]
1=0 Episode 2

File2.bsi
Code:

[Main]
NumberCDs=2
CD=2

[Movie]
Title=Movie [Episode 2]
Directory=.
FName=Movie02.avi
AudioName1=Japanese
AudioName2=English

[Subtitles]
Directory=.
Sub1=English|english02.sub

[CHAPTERS1]
1=0 Episode 1

[CHAPTERS2]
1=0 Episode 2

Thank's...

Yes, there are three ways to fix this.
1. Dowgrade to a BSPlayer version before v500
2. Activate "Borderless play window" in the video preferences
3. Hope for a fix in one of the next versions

or (if you have enough diskspace) make an iso and mount it with tools like daemon tools
or alcohol.
