Is Bsplayer freeware? Where i can get subs? And can subs be saved in *.avi file and if thats possible.. what program you need?

- Yes, BSplayer is freeware (thanks BST ! :D )
- ???
- subs can be muxed using the new OGM container, not the AVI one!
- To mux or read OGM files, you'll need to download OGM DSF v0.995 , Website

textstreams ARE supported by the AVI container. I believe they are less efficient than OGM subtitles streams (dunno what's that supposed to mean, but I read it somewhere I think ;)) but they're still usable.

AFAIK, only submux makes use of these textstreams.
Then you need DirectVobSub to display the subs. (submux is distributed along with vobsub)
And bsplayer needs to be used in overlay mode 2 for this to work.

from my (short) experience, it works fine; but I'm not a big fan of this kind of solution, be it with avis or ogms

http://divx.zemeilleur.com ( it's a french site )
http://www.divxsubtitles.com ( has a lot of pop-ups )
