Subtitle problem (vobsub)

Hi!

I have a problem displaying subtitles in BSPlayer. I ripped them with vobsub (out of GKnot) an have a 32MB file with the .sub suffix. My movie plays back fine in BSplayer, even with dolby digital sound, but when I try to load the subtitle, nothing happens and the "show subtitles" option stays grayed out in the Subtitles... menu. What am I doing wrong? Is vobsub not supported?

Thanks, Frank

A 32Mb file for a single subtitle??????? The most I saw is 6Mo. I assume you are wrong with the size or you ripped 5 subtitles.

So to be able to read subtitles (vobsub format) with BSPlayer is same than you do with WMP. The name of your subtitles must have the same name than your avi. Assuming that you avi is named:

Matrix_CD1.AVI

your subtitles should be:

Matrix_CD1.SUB
Matrix_CD1.IDX

Then you open your avi with bsplayer and it will by itself start subtitles.

 It's not surprising me.
For instance, Armageddon zone 2 -> 2h30 says 25 subtitles, in fact mainly only 11.
Arabic, Japanise or chinese are not included in this one, but you get Hebrew, Greek, Islanska, Polish.
- IDX file 1.8MB
- SUB file 175MB, but "only" 19MB once RARred.
