NO SOUND in BSplayer but YES in DivX Player 2.1 I don't know why but when I open a video file encoded with either DivX or XviD and audio in MPEG Layer III a cannot hear a thing out of neither Windows Media Player nor BSplayer. The only player that can cope with the sound is DivX Player 2.1. I've tried GSpot 2.0 and reports the codec is installed and that the video is encoded as mpeglayer3 (mp3) (0x0055) ISO/MPEG and that I got installed the following: ACM 0x0055 MPEG Layer-3 Fraunhofer Institut Integrierte Schaltungen IIS quartz.dll --> L3codeca.acm The fact is that in the lower section of GSpot appears the DirectShow Render section and it reports: Source: MEDIASUBTYPE_Avi Video Media: 4cc: XVID Audio Media: **** NOTHING **** Splitter/Other: AVI Splitter Video Codec: XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder Audio Codec: [ handled by AVI Splitter ] It's frustrating. What I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance. Little John |
