ffdshow doesnt fix brightness

Hi all
I'm one of the many users who noticed and want brightness adjustment for BSplayer. I downloaded FFDshow and configured it to increase the luminance for all my MPGs, but it doesnt work.

Windows Media Player 9 supposts brightness adjustment. I'm guessing this is because the MPG codec is Copyright Microsoft.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

doublecheck and make sure mpeg1/mpeg2 are checked under the "Codecs" section of the ffdshow configuration app. if any mpg's are open when you do this, you'll need to close & reopen them.

alternatively, most video card drivers today allow for video overlay adjustment (i know nvidia and ati both do this). you can find that under advanced display properties. (i actually used this method before i found ffdshow).

ffdshow won't be loaded even if you set it so in the config
You have to rename bspfilter.sam to bspfilter.dat
And add:
Code:

MPEG1={04FE9017-F873-410E-871E-AB91661A4EF7},ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder
For MPEG-1 etc...
