Just another "Overlay failed!" and "Unknown f I have all the right codecs (my movies works on the same computer with Windows media player) but BSPlayer wont work. When I have the "Use overlay" flag off I get an "Unknown file format!" on both Mpg, divx and Xvid movies. When I have the "Use overlay" flag on (both Mode 1 and Mode 2) I most of the time gets an "Overlay failed!" Sometimes the movie plays 2-3 seconds and then crashes. What could be wrong? Here a dump from the latest crash: BSPlayer v0.86.496, Unhandled exception at EIP: 00433CEA If you click 'Close' application will be terminated. Please report this info to the author with description what were you doing. Access violation at address 00433CEA in module 'bplay.exe'. I made it work, I unistalled all my codecs, and bsplayer, then reinstalled bsplayer first before I installed my codecs. I still can't use the Overlay mode though. |
...and for them who finds this thread when they have the same problem: I fixed my "overlay failed" also. I just downloaded ffdshow from "http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=53761" It seems that many functions in BSplayer is dependent on this filter. Thanks for the many helpful replies :-/ |
