is not writable / "must be restarted" infinitely My last laptop got ganked by a bad repair shop so I've just bought a new one, Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I downloaded the last version of BS Player Pro that my license covers and installed it. When I try to play a video, it brings up the license-key screen. I type in my name as it is on the license and paste in my code. Then problems occur depending on my installation settings: 1. If I installed BSPP using global "all users" settings, then when I enter the key, it says the file/directory is not writable. So I can't play videos. 2. If I installed BSPP using the "just me" user settings, then after I enter the key, it says BSPP must be restarted before changes will take effect. So I restart. Then when I try loading a video, or opening a video in Windows, it brings up the license key screen again. This occurs infinitely. Help?! |
Disable UAC. Unset "read only" property for program files folder. BSPlayer can't save it's configuration file because User Account Control and "read only" property for program files are activated. |
User Account Control is a new concept to me, so if that works, then I thank you very much. I'll give it a try tomorrow. |
