bsplayer cannot play .mkv files Well, I have 2 PC, both running windowsXp and having exactly the same codec. BSPlayer can play .mkv files on PC A but not on PC B. However, media plyer classic on PC B can play .mkv files too Anybody can answer me that? Thanks |
did you install the matroska directshow filter? try matroska.org for that |
I just downloaded the latest version of BSPlayer and used the patch from mastroska.org. Now I can see the video but without any subtitle. Could someone please tell me where do I turn on the subtitle? Thankx. Another thing I would like to point out is, how come there is no green arrow that is supposed to come out in the tray icon when playing .mkv files? Another I notice is that when I try to select matroska filter property, there's this msg box pops up with the message "Matroska sucks()" -.-; any reasons?? |

put the following lines in a .txt file, adjust the paths, rename it to .bat and run it: Code: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\regsvr32.exe /u c:\path to\dvobsub.ax http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=176836 btw there you can also always download the latest matroska splitter (which is needed to play matroska files) Quote:

Erm... I have done what you have suggested but still there s no subtitle :( and the green arrow any suggestion?? i got no problem with media player classic BUT I JUST LIKE BSPLAYER too much to change to another player..hehe |
deinstall the matroska pack and register the matroska splitter together with vsfilter on the page i linked you to this splitter is used internally in media player classic too btw did you download this matroska pack from matroska.org? i wonder because this pack is the latest and should have all you need included... |
Yeah, I have download the latest codec pack from www.matroska.org but I still cannot view any subtitle. I have also tried the matorska filter and the vsfilter as you have suggested but still no subtitle. Guess, that's my luck? Ah well.. |
I have MatroskaSplitter_20030808.zip and vsfilter_2.28_20030808.zip installed... |
I have just downloaded the latest version,i.e. build 500 , and now subtitles will not even show up when playing .ogm files even though I am using the same codecs as before and have reinstalled them. Duh... wat's more to say abt having subtitle showing up when playing .mkv files  |
Lucky you are, being able to open mkv files... I have slightly different problems with those, look here. Please try the little chunk out... |
