MP4 File's not working! I've been getting the same error for a while on an MP4 file. It is "unkown file type()" thats right! it gives me no file type! Quicktime runs the file but it runs crappy and i can't get BSplayer to run it. I've tried things like FFDShow and Xvid. Anyone know any other ways to fix this? |
Maybe you need divx 5.05? If you are not sure, try avicodec, which tells you wich codec is needed for your movie file. http://avicodec.duby.info/ Works for avi and mpg's. |
hm, bsplayer doesnt seem to support mp4 files at all (even if you have the right ds filters installed) i hope bst will fix that soon :) edit: hm no seems that the enviviotv ds filter doesnt seem to work (it uses its own renderer) |
Try 3vix http://3ivx.com/ . I know it works for me, because Naruto Episode 1 from ToriyamaWorld is in Mp4 format and I play it in BSplayer. So go try it and goodluck. Oh and if it doens't work after installing it mess around with the programs settings a bit. |
yeah, it works with 3ivx, but not with enviviotv ds filter note that envivio is able to also decode "advanced content" like dvd-like menues and user interactivity in mp4 (which 3ivx doesnt handle) |
