DirectX VMR9

Hi,

I have an older PC(Pentium II;Graphic Card 8MB) and I'm very pleased with BSPlayer.
Actually i have DirectX 8.1 installed.Because of my poor Graphic Card(it would make rather sense to by a new PC than a fine Graphic C.) I have problems with high resolution DivX/Xvid encoded movies.
My question is,if downloading DirecX9 VMR9 can playback be improved?
Maybe someone of you (with an 8MB Graphic C.) already has been testing it.
It would be senseless to me messing around with VMR9 if playback of high resolution movies wouldn't get improved.

Best regards
Tomy
