Films stutter when played, but not all
 

Can someone help me. I have been using the BSplayer for a couple of months now, really enjoy it, good player, but lately my films seem to stutter when played. The picture is also quicker than the audio so it looks like a badly dubbed film. What can I do about this? Ive tried to reinstal but that doesnt seem to help. Help me!!! :D

Do you play them from hard disk or from cdrom ?

if you have video/audio synch problems, most propably you have changed something in the post procesing tab of your decoder or the player itself..it might be because your system is too slow to handle real time post processing .try to set all the post processing values to minimum.or try diferent settings till you'll get a descent result

Thanks for the advice, Ill try and see what happens. I do play the films from my hard drive, does that makes a difference?

Ies it matters if you have, i suppose, a slow computer. If you play them from the hard drive set the post processing level to minimum, as Sonikydon have posted. But if you have something like 300 MHz cpu you won't get any result.

Yes I think that the problem, I have a slow pc, only 366mhz. Oh well, have to upgrade someday to something like 2,5ghz. Anyway, thanks for all the help and tips. 8)

Don't give up. Set the resolution to 640x480@256 colors. Set the postprocessing level at minimum. Some of the movies will work allmost ok on this settings.

you can also try ffdshow instead of divx ,it needs less resources and it runs smoother on slow systems.. avoid bundle downloads though

I had exactly the same problem when playing XVid movies. Some would play ok, and with others the video would wobble and the audio was out of sync.

I cured this by upgrading to the latest XVid codec. Also in the Bsplayer settings it sometimes helps to select 'Overlay Mode 2' or to disable YUV12.
