BSPlayer Rulez Hi everyone i nearly gave up hope, because i was trying to watch divx-encoded movies on my slow pII-333 - system. i did not find any player, which made that possible, and so i decided to save my money to get a faster cpu. but yesterday i found bsplayer, and now i can watch all those movies who sucked in all these other players. wow, like a miracle. does anyone out there have a system which is even slower than mine, and is able to watch nearly every dixv-movie? post some facts, please! you guys did a fatnastic job, thanx a lot, you saved me a lot of money :) keep on doing your thing peace TobStarr |
I think Celeron 400 MHz is slower than full Pentium 2. BSPlayer's simple subtitle renderer enabled me to watch videos with captions on that slow computer. Otherwise, I guess, its mostly up to the decoder to use the CPU more efficiently. The great libavcodec is known as fast MPEG-4 SP/ASP decoder. |
2002's post revived? :o  |
Yes, I already noticed it earlier, but didn't bother to make a remark. Furthermore J7N uses past tense, so it still is a valid reaction to that post. (By the way: at the end of July 2002 we had BSPlayer Version 0.85 Build 490, which was the 6th build for which I made the Dutch translation-file.) |
Yes, BSPlayer is very good. I have tried some other players, but always came back to BSP. It's not perfect, but still very good. |
