QUERY: black screen on some videos
 

Codec Pack I use: K-Lite Codec Mega
Player I use: BSPlayer (+ BSPlayer's suggested codec downloads)

Normally, movie videos are fine in BSPlayer. However, some anime/series just won't play in BSPlayer (but they play in VLC).

What are the general/usual troubleshooting steps I can go through to get these odd video files playing?

Options -> preferences -> video -> rendering methode and swich to internal renderer or other one.
