IE will not send file to BS player to buffer

Anyone know how to make IE send an mpg link directly to BS player? I can open up bsplayer, open the url and BS player will buffer the file and play it but if I just click on an mpeg link in IE it will only download the whole file and send it to BS player when it downloads the entire thing.
