copying movies from cd to hard drive

:? well my question is about copying movies from a cd to my hard drive.
the movie copied to my hard drive but will not play on on my BSplayer.
I am new at this and dont have much knowledge. The file format of the movie is .ogc does that mean that I have to load the ogg codec.

These are the players I have: divx player, windows media player

These are the codecs installed: Ac3, divx511bundle,xvid, abd fddshow

Not sure what to do any advice would be great.
