Possibly off topic: Question about DivX-enabled DVD-players

Is there a stand alone DVD-players similar to the Lite-On DWL 2001 out there that handles subtitles in the usual SubRip and MicroDVD formats?

I'm fine with using my puter with a long SVHS-cable, but my parents are hardly what you'd call computer literate and for them a stand alone player that could display subs would be exactly what the doctor ordered :)

I have KISS-DP500 with Ethernet support it plays .SRT subtitles
and some other formats (I don't remember exactly)
I'm using only .SRT and there no problems to convert from any existing format.
