sound crashes after 45 minutes playing

hi

i don't know, whether it is a problem with bs-player or with my os/hardware, so i posted in the general forum.

my problem is, that after exactly 45-46 minutes of playing, the sound of every movie crashes, and it sounds like looping some time, you can not listen to it any more. After quitting and restarting the bsplayer, everything works fine, for another 45-46 minutes.

i am using a pII-333, a ati radion 7200, and for the sound a not so usual isa-card by terratec (ews64). i wonder if someone had the same experiences or heard about that kind of problem. i hope i find help in here

thanx

Got a similar problem

With me, every single movie I watch with BSPlayer starts to "stutter" after about 60 minutes. I am 100 % sure that the movie does NOT have bad frames, plus I think this only appeared after build 488 or maybe 487.

If I quit BSplayer, start it again and jump to the point where the stuttering began, it works just fine again... for another 60 minutes.

Cheers, Smarties :P

Got the same problem with Bsplayer pro 2.0
It worked fine for months and months .. and then suddenly its all broken.
Movies working for 45-60 mins, then the sound starts to stutter.

Any fix?

With which kind of videos? All?
What video and audio codec does BSplayer use when the problem occours? (right-click -> Options -> Filters -> Advanced)

skorpi0 26th January 2007 05:26 PM

Happens when playing xvid movies (havent tested any other), the stuttering starts almost always at 45-46 minutes played .. tho sometimes a little bit sooner or later.

It says it uses the ffdshow codecs both for video and audio, cccp codec pack.
The movies works perfectly fine with other players like wmp or vlc.

First try to disable the buffer feature of BSplayer (CTRL+P -> General -> Buffer)
Then, if the problem persists, try to uninstall and then reinstall FFDShow codec (better if you install it only, no codec packs..)

Or.. if you disable FFDShow codec in BSplayer's (CTRL+P) "Filters Management" options the problem persists?

The buffer boxes was unticked, so I guess they were disabled by default.
And I dont think the codecs suddenly over night starts to f*ck up .. havent touched them since they got installed some months ago.

And I dont think the codecs suddenly over night starts to I love BS.Player PRO up .. havent touched them since they got installed some months ago.

But since I (and almost all other users) haven't this problem and I don't know how to reproduce it, the only thing I can think is to search for a workaround to find the source of the problem..
But that problem exixts since when you installed BSplayer or happened just in these last days? :?
Have you tried to uninstall it and after have deleted BSplayer folder in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\ reinstall it?
Same result?

Disabled ffdshow codecs, problem still exists

Installed newer version of bsplayer, problem still exists

However I didnt remove the "C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\" .. will try that next
