Default "bsplayer v1.00.806 - free for non comercial use"

hi

i had been using bsplayer v0.8 from a long time and just updated to 1.00.8 a few hours ago. but after opening a movie file, it appears the message "bsplayer v1.00.806 - free for non comercial use" over the screen and it just doesnt go away, and anything else i do, like play or adjusting volume or anything, the text stays there, and i havent found something to make it go away

is this a bug or just something i have to disable?

can anyone help?

nah, the fact that it doesn't go away is a bug...
[message disappears right away on mine.]

sorry CR0n0, I can't tell what to do about the persistent OSD
try fiddling with the OSD/video settings, just in case

Warning! The latest version of BSPlayer will display during the whole movie play time a notice specifying that the product is freeware only for non-commercial use. At the moment, removing this message is impossible, making the use of this program virtually impossible.
I do not confirm this!
The message "Free for non-commercial use" immediately dissapears like Quitseb's case.

However, I fear that Webteh will gradually make BSplayer a shareware application... :(

If the 'freeware' message goes away immediately (as it seems to on mine), then it shouldn't be a problem.

go into prefrences and go to VIDEO and select the OSD tab, remove the checkmark for "Enable OSD" and then restart bsplayer. Fixed the problem for me....

I like the OSD but without the "bsplayer v1.00.806 - free for non comercial use" words there whenever I play a video file.

Is there anyway to disable it?
If not I would like to request for a way to disable those words or you can put them in theAbout screen.

Default we must find a open source player

i think the best solution is to find an open source player.
that way never someboy will charge us for it use
it's a shame that bsplayer is becoming paid.

No one said that!
I only fear that BSplayer maybe become shareware one day. And that isn't for sure.

Edit: I'm sure that BSplayer main developer continues to be Boris.
As he keeps updating the program and resolving the remaining bugs the opensource idea maybe isn't really good..

Ok, I searched more the issue of future shareware and that is what I've found:

BSPlayer will always be free for non-commercial use
:D :D
Go to BSplayer homepage and click on "Purchase" button. You 'll see it by yourselves. 8)

it disappears in 807, but I still think it's stupid.

maybe it would be ok, if it appeared only when you START bsplayer, not every time you open a file...

jeez, it's annoying! makes me feel like i'm using pirated software or something

besides... it shows the wrong version - 805

Yes, private I agree with you. It should stay on the About box not the OSD.
It's a shame!

Maybe time to switch to Gabest's Media Player Classic

yeah, I also find the"free for non-commercial use" very annoying
guess there's really no free lunch in this world

the one feature that I like abt BSPlayer is the ability to change the brightness , colour and contrast of the screen without depending on the codec used.
Too bad MEdia Player Classic does not have this feature

BSPlayer will always be free for non-commercial use.

If you have problem with label :
"bsplayer v1.00.806 - free for non comercial use"
Register Bsplayer and this message will disappear, and you will support future development of BSPlayer.

Yes Boris is owner of Webteh ltd , and still developing BSPlayer, with other programmers at Webteh, ltd.
