ffdshow audio problem
 

I want to use the ffdshow audio filter to decode the audio form my mp3 divx movies. I want to do this becuase this way it is possible to mix the stereo sound to 5.1 sound(of course with not the quality 5.1 normally is. My problem is that i cannot get bs player use ffdshow audio for decoding. Always that standard mp3 codec starts and there's not much to configure in this codec. How can tell bs player to use ffdshow audio?
In the preferences, audio tab you can only tell wich codec to use to decode the ac3 files and set the output device. I have tried all the output possibilities and is didn't work.
I think it is some kind of priority issue, please help.

ps In the audio codec section under the win xp configuration screen i can't see the ffdshow is this normal, because if it was here i would be able the raise the priority

Matrix Mixer can do the mixing too. And it's tested to work wit BSPlayer. And it's developped for that purpose.

How do you activate matrix mixer for usage in bsplayer? I have matrix mixer installed and it works in every other player but bsplayer just won't load it. In fact, I cannot use any audio filters in bsplayer at all (TFM Filter). I'm using 1.0rc1 build 808.

Don't know. Just did a simple install and is working.

Well, I figured this one out. I added following line to bspfilters.sam and then renamed that file to bspfilters.dat

0055={AEFA5024-215A-4fc7-97A4-1043C86FD0B8},MatrixMixer

that 0055= means that bsplayer will only use matrixmixer for mpeg1 layer 3-audio (mp3). Some have reported success also with the following line (this would probably try to load MM always):

AddFilter {AEFA5024-215A-4fc7-97A4-1043C86FD0B8},MatrixMixer
