Upgrading-What files to backup to keep prefs and key defn?

i currently am using bsplayer v1.00 b 810 (16July2004).
i wish to upgrade to the pro version and i would like to keep my existing preferences (file associations and especially the key definitions).

can i backup some files and just copy them over or do i need to set everything again?

All settings are in file BSplayer.<username>.xml, so if you backup this file it will be ok.
But key definitions will be reset to default, future versions will keep this settings too.
Also updated version will be released today that will keep key definitions, so if you wish you can wait for update.

Can this .xml file be placed in other installs on other PC's?

Only if you have the same username or rename the file to the local username.
