Im getting stomped about the settings in bsplayer. Im trying to watch a xvid movie on my tv. I've tried both overlay 1 and 2, but the aspectratio on the tv is wrong everytime. The movie is in 16:9 format, but my tv is 4:3. The picture gets stretched (looks like panscan, but that setting is 0)and i don't get any "letterbox" on the tv. On the computer it works like a charm. Any suggestions? //Dolmeo |

I think i got it working now. Seems that the problem is in the overlay on my Radeon 9800 XT. Previously i had ascpectratio set to full screen, now i changed it to same as source. (The english translation may be wrong, I got swedish windows). After this i get letterbox format on the tv. I have to use overlay 1 in bsplayer though, to get subtitles on the tv. |

I had similar problems with older BSplayer 1.00.810 (http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=5354), but with new BSplayer 1.02.812 I don't have these problems (maybe you have older version?). My advice for watching movies on TV: - use single display mode (only TV or PC-monitor works); - set some hotkey for switching between TV and PC-monitor (for your graphic card); In these case, with Overlay mode (in BSplayer) you can put subtitles in "black part" (without using VMR-9 renderless mode) having better picture quality.
