BSPLAYER PROBLEM

"Can't create DirectDraw surface!" I get this warning when I'm opening all types of video files for example avi.files. Sometimes the player works very good but then comes this message. How can I solve this problem? I think that I have all codecs: FFDSHOW, AC3Filter, DivX, XVid. please help me! :(

Hmmm. Never had that problem.
Try reinstalling or upgrading to Direct X 9.0c.

What video card do you have ?

Paradox_savi 7th November 2004 10:45 AM

not only the directx you have to upgrade to be sure, upgrade the video driver as well, and if that doesnot work , go to control panel double click the direct x icon and you can configure it manualy

I remove Xvid codec and install new version.
I have played any *.mpg or *.avi BSplayer0.86 show message "Can't create Direct Draw Surface" and switching in RGB mode and play very bad and slow. Before that there was not the same problem. My PC Intel P-II Cel. 300MHz 64MB RAM HDD 5GB Video card AGP S3 4MB.

Uninstall every codec. Install just an AC3 decoder and XviD 1.02. For your configuration should be the best solution. Remember to enable decoding for all formats when asked.

My question is "Where is problem?"

Win98 or DirectX8.1 or BSPlayer or Codecs or settings

Your video card, mainly, then the CPU.
