Default can't play WMV files in bsplayer

I can't play these files for some reason now. how do I fix this it's only in bsplayer.

Install windows media codecs 8 and 9 from microsoft site.

I reinstalled the codecs and it still doesn't work for wmv and asf
works fine in wmp9

WMFdist.exe and WMtools.exe are installed ?

where can I get these files. I installed windist and it stil doesn't work. It doesn't work in zoom player either if that helps

I had the same problem. But fix it doing an upgrade to windows media player (come on, it's for free). But with that installed, the bsplayer can't open .mov files (wich can earlier). Now I went to Preferences, Video, video render, and in "rendering mode" choose wmr9. I don't know nothing about this kind of software, I've jut try some buttons and that was the only one that fix the two problems (.wmv and .mov files) :D

anyone knows how to solve this problem except installing the monstrous media player on your system ? thx in advance!... leo

Hallo!

Try the Haali Media Splitter ( http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/MatroskaSplitter.exe ). I think this will solve your problem.

If this doesn´t help, take a look at this site: http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html
