what is dub??? i am sorry for being a newbie

If a movie-file is dubbed, that means that the original soundtrack of the movie been has been exchanged for another one (in a different language) [or alternatively that another soundtrack has been added to the movie (so that you can choose from different languages].
In my country the vast majority of movies isn't dubbed, but subtitled instead.

By extension, any operation over a video file (compresion, uncompresion, replacing/adding audio channels, replacing/adding other streams) is also named dub.
