Maybe the file is locked/in use... :?
Have you tried to select the option "Open locked media files (files in use)" in General Preferences?

Maybe it could help you, otherwise search the forum, there are a lot of topics regarding WMV files

yes , I tried but nothing helps - sometimes there is to install MP10, sometimes 9, sometimes reinstall BSPlayer....

It's strange :?
Maybe adicoto have some suggestion that could help you, but I think that uninstalling BSplayer, Windows Media Player/Codecs, and then reinstalling all could help...
Version 9 or 10 depends by the type of wmv files you have (I think), "maybe" 10 is better :?: .

Check all the possibility offered by the WMV topics in this forum, and if you still can't play wmv files post again.

Sorry if I can't help you better at the moment :(
bye

Basically wmv files are rendered using qasf.dll file. It comes with the DirectX suite so be sure you have the last version DirectX 9.0c. Also you need microsoft's MPEG4 codecs (WMV8, 9, 10 codecs). Re-registering qasf.dll using regsrv32 will also be a great ideea. This should solve the problems.

2. Does WMP 10 play the files ? If not, then probably the files are created using DRM and can't be played obly by the computer that created them.
