Multiple users in XP Having had the same problem(s) as other users I've found a solution. BSplayer creates configuration files in the 'C:\Program Files\Webteh\BSplayer' folder named for each user, BSplayer.Admin.XML, BSplayer.John.XML, etc. however if you are using the default Admin/User setup the 'User' group doesn't have sufficient rights to the folder. As Admin go to Control Panel/Folder Options/View and un-tick 'Use simple file sharing'. In Explore go to the properties of the BSplayer folder, select Security, and for the 'User' group tick Modify and Write. The users can now modify their settings. To speed things up you can also copy/rename the BSplayer.Admin file to the names of the users you've added. That way they get the same associations when BSplayer is first run (if you have the box checked in preferences). Hope the above helps. |
