full screen pb

i 've got a screen with the resolution: 1280x800 and the vids in 4/3 (too high for my screen) are panscanned .
I don' t want to loose the top and the bottom of the film so I want to play the vids in original size but the new version doesnt want to do it.
PLEASE help (the old version was fine in fact)

click on the pan and scan menu and choose automatic.
