Problems with Amelie

I have Amelie.DVD.SCREENER.AC3.CD1.DivX-QiX and it's subtitle is a Smil document. Does anybody know what this is and can I play it with BSPlayer? If not, what player can play it or is there a way to convert it so BSPlayer can play it. Also, can it play subs with a SRT extension.
