trouble with sound

hi, im having trouble with auto streams. when i play a mkv.file anime in english, it tends to play with a very loud buzz, thou i can still barely hear the sound of the movie. however, when i change it into japanese, it works perfectly fine. im sure it has nothing to do with the file, because my frd played the very same files in english and they worked fine. does anyone know how i could fix this problem?

bs player version 1.36
build 825,5. sep 2005

thanks a bunch!

This is probaly not related to BSPlayer. But still to confirm open the video in mplayer2.exe. (Both audio streams will play simultaneously.)

The both audio streams might use different audio formats. Your system has correctly configured audio codec only for one of them. What filters are opened when the English audio is selected (context menu -> Options -> Filters)?

Most AC3 files have too low amplitude. Maybe you have an AC3 stream here with amplitude set too high. If this is the case use AC3Filter to decrease.
