Time between subtitles - problem Hi! I have one problem with subtitles. The pause between subtitles (time from hide of the first one to time when the new appeared) is always about 0.3~0.5sec, although I have srt file with no (or very short) pauses. For example: 1000 01:15:46,188 --> 01:15:48,040 ... 1001 01:15:48,042 --> 01:15:49,600 ... 1002 01:15:49,603 --> 01:15:53,204 ... The next subtitle is always delayed (about 300 - 500ms), it is not show immediately as in srt file, but after pause in delayed wrong time. Please help me! Thanks, and sorry for the bad English, but I hope you understand my problem. Tom BSplayer 1.42, Win XP SP2 |
Same with BSplayer 2.0  |
Perhaps you can try to shorten the durations of your subtitles by a few milliseconds. Use Subtitle Workshop. |

2 things to check: - Subtitles options in BsPlayer's preferences - Check if the video file's timecode is corrupt. This often happens with MPEG1 and MPEG2 files, and sometimes it also happens with MPEG4-like files. |
Thanks all for your answers. But, I tried some another players with same video and subtitle files: Media Player Classic - subtitles timing - OK, MV2player - subtitles timing - OK, Crystal Player - subtitles timing - OK, clean install of bsplayer 2.0 on two PCs with new install of Windows - subtitle delay problem is there :( I know, that 300-500ms is not so much, but, if you have some subtitles, that fits perfectly and your player damage it, it's pity. I made many subtitles to my videos (with many hours of work on them) and it's shame that I always need to use some another player for testing. Of course, not only my subtitles have this problem, but all with very short pauses between (< 300 ms). I will be very happy, if someone find some working solution for this. Tom |
