subtitles with matroska files

My problem:
_When I try to play mkv movies with bsplayer 2.0 (free), I can't see subtitles. Video is ok, sound is ok.
I saw few topicts relative to this problem so I follow advise some people have given.
I use matroska full pack with haali splitter, then I tried with the lite one without any result (no subtitles), then with matroska splitter (gabest ) but with this one I can't see the video.
_When I use haali splitter (include in matroska pack) I can see chapters and subtitles menus on right click over the video and i can change them but when I change the subtiles nothing happen.
_With matroska splitter (gabest) I don't have any video and I can't change chapters nor tracks.

Have you got any Idea???

my hardware config: AMD ATHLON XP2400+, nvidia geforce MX440,

(sorry for my english I'm french)

no, it doesn't work better, I don't understand, although I have ad the line:<AddFilter> I can't see Direct vobsub on options->advances->filters so i can't switch between subtitles (I tried with haali media splitter + ffdshow + vobsub_2.23.

Any other idea? :?

When I play the movie in media player classic it works fine, and I saw that the option VMR9 renderless should be selected so I attempt to do this on bsplayer but it doesn't work.

Try with different rendering modes, and instead of using the bsfilter.dat file try to use the filter management section in BSplayer preferences window.

Hum! another question, sorry
although there is "direct vobsub (autoloading version") in filters menu the Directvobsub icon doesn't appear in the systray.

how can I make it appear?

Check if "Enable VobSub support" is selected under
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Subtitles > [Vobsub]
and also check "Allow intermediate filters" (and "Enable advanced graph building") under
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Filter management

thank you for your help

I make vobsub trayicon launched thanks to your reply.
But I can't see chapters nor switch between audio tracks if I use Matroska splitter (gabest 1.0.29) +vobsub and I can see only one subtitles track
And if i use Haali, I can switch between chap, audio tracks, subtitles but I can't see anything :( (changes don't take effect)
