Help: brightness of video...

Previously I was able to increase the brightness of the video by going to: 'preferences' -> and under 'Video' to -> "DivX 3.11 Properties" or "DivX 4+ Properties" or "FFDshow Properties" which have brightness level.

But "DivX 3.11 Properties" or "DivX 4+ Properties" or "FFDshow Properties" are all grayed out and I can not do anything with their settings...

Why? How can I enable them?

Or how else can I increase the brightness of the video (not the screen output which is already at max).

Thank you all...

Change video levels in the ffdshow properties dialog.

Context Menu -> Options -> Filters -> ffdshow -> Levels

You must have ffdshow decoder in use, of course.

Did you try (rightclick >) Video > Color controls ?

For those settings to work you need to play a file using one of the decoders specified in there.
When you play a file usind FFDshow, it's options are no more grayed, for example.
Just played one DivX 3.11 filke I made, using DivX3.11 decoder and the settings are working.
Strange thing. The file looks 10 times better than played with DivX 6.2.5.
