video and subtitle problems

when i start bs player the screen is either black or white noise. when i change the video resolution it works but i cant see the subtitle. help please

More information needed!
Please read at least the first three items (especially also the last sentence of item (3)) as well as item (9) of my Help2Help-post (a.k.a. "READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING") and then come back also mentioning which resolutions and what type of video and subtitle you're talking about.
