Oh, yes, I saw your post before it had been deleted and I also replied to it (also my reply has been deleted) :P

 Anyway, which options are greyed out? the one in the menu or in the preferences window? are they all grey?

Really strange thing...does this happen with all your video files? Can you reproduce them in other players? Have you tried to use GSpot to see if the needed codecs are installed?

Take a look at this post: http://bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11262
and follow also BSPeter's link (in that post)

:D
thank you then for answering again

when I launch BSplayer only, it doesn't crash yet.
I can go to the preferences windows
then in the menu, Video preferences are grey (Divx properties, FFDshow properties etc...) is it normal?
BSplayer crashes immediatly after I try to play any video files.
I didn't install new applications recently.

I checked with Qspot, all my codecs seems to be ok.

I don't have any problem with other players.
I tried to re-install BSplayer 3 times. Also I deleted once all my codecs & re-installed too.
Very strange.
I am currently using the old Media player classic but I prefer Bsplayer :(

Yes, it's normal, those settings will be available only once you load a video and those codecs will be used. If BS.Player uses other codecs to decode your movie, those settings will stay grey all the times.

For the crashes take a look at this topic, that users was been able to fix his problem by installing ffdshow.. maybe you can give it a try
