What that buffering in BSPlayer options means and should i use it?

Yes, i also wonder that. What does buffering do? Do i need when running a file from HDD?

Yes, buffering is to be used when you play movies from CD/DVD, HDD, LAN/NETWORK etc.
This way BS.Player load the movie in memory and the data can be read more seldomly (and smootly), plus if used for CD/DVD these drives will be used for a less amount of time and the noise they produce is reduced :wink:

What is good buffer size when playing movies from hardrive? And what are the drawbacks when using buffering?

For buffer size I don't know, I think you have to try different settings..
Side effects are that it takes a more time before the movie starts playing (since it has to be buffered before :wink: )

what types of HDDs should work movies with Bsplayer's "buffering" feature?

Slow and noisy? :roll:

Fragmented when defrag can't be done.

Is anyone really using that buffering feature? Do you use that J7N?

Does buffering affect cpu usage (by increasing that)?

For fragmented drives, Windows's standard defragmenter does not complete %100, you have to use 3rd party software to complete all defragmention.
