Strange behaviour of the network buffer

2 Attachment(s)
You'll se in here details for 2 video files, played from a DVD drive, with network buffer activated for optical drives. Both are MEPG2 files, using same filter to decode.
1. It's a real 720p TS file, for wich the network buffer doesn't get activated
2. It's a 1080i TS file, for wich the buffer gets activated, but after 1-2 secs of stuttering playback.

The files are around 500 MB, no big difference between them (450 vs 550 MB, but that's not much)

Would this be a bug or a feature ? Same files play from HDD with no problem at all.

Sorry, i don't know answer to your question, but i'm asking that; is it more "hard drive friendly" to play hdd videos using buffering than without it?

It's more friendly to play HD videos from HDD, because of the high transfer rates. Buffering will help. if you have a large amount of memory. I do have only 1 GB.
