mysterious rmvb bug Real Alternative is installed on my WinXP pro SP2 Now my Windows Media Player can play ALL of my rmvb files. I am 100% sure that all my rmvb files are valid and workable rmvb files. Mysteriously: My Bsplayer 2.10 Build 939 can only play SOME of them and cannot open the rest of them. Anyone know why? |
those your bsplayer says its playing a sound file caus if so i have the exact same problem. i installed all codecs but nothing works. |
i always use mpc, it is fine to play all rmvb with real alternative codec. Just try bsplayer, i have the same problem. i found if installing haali/elecard mpeg2 splitter, bsplayer will not play any rmvb and "hang up". But, the same case, mpc & wmplayer work fine. So, i change to install cyberlink mpeg2 spltter, and bsplayer can correctly play a lots of rmvb except those with "cook audio". bsplayer treat as a audio file via microsoft's "mpeg 1 stream" splitter??? Try to set filter's priority - no effect. bsplayer never apply real codec. The same case, mpc & wmplayer still work fine. Finally, i found a solution - not to install real alternative codec instead of Afly's realpack codec. bsplayer will play fine as mpc/wmplayer does. Also, i can install any mpeg2 codec on my taste |
