Missing second subtitle line

Hey everybody.

When I try to add subtitles to some movies, the second subtile line is missing. I can't see any strange false codes in the SRT's, so why can I only see the first line, and not the second one?

Like the movie Beerfest (aXXo) srt:

Quote:

1

00:00:39,422 --> 00:00:42,186

WAARSCHUWING: DE ACTEURS IN

DEZE FILM ZIJN PROFESSIONALS.

2

00:00:42,325 --> 00:00:44,452

PROBEER DEZE ACTIVITEITEN

NIET THUIS UIT.

3....
Yes i'm dutch :roll: Like in the second sub's, I can see the words PROBEER DEZE ACTIVITEITEN, but I can't see the words NIET THUIS UIT.

This also with the first line, and with all the other lines...

What is wrong? Other subtitles do work great, but i cannot see any difference between the SRT's, except for the words in the lines.

Tnx alot!

Normally, the subtile must look like:

1

00:00:39,422 --> 00:00:42,186
WAARSCHUWING: DE ACTEURS IN
DEZE FILM ZIJN PROFESSIONALS.

2

00:00:42,325 --> 00:00:44,452
PROBEER DEZE ACTIVITEITEN
NIET THUIS UIT.

as every ENTER you press will get the line more to the top of the screen.

Actually there usually is no empty line immediately following the number either. Where did you download it from? Did you edit it in any way?
Is this-one any better?

I'm sorry, when I copied and pasted the example the empty lines where entered in automatically...

The one you advise me, BSPeter, is exactly the one I am using.
Unfortunalty, that one doesn't work. Other subtitles (for example that from the movie Hostel) are working fine with the movie, but ofcourse, why want hostel-subs in another movie...

But both subtitle files are looking exactly the same :?

Subtitle playing/showing fine overhere (using BS.Player's in-built feature).
Maybe there's something wrong with its positioning?
Could you try re-positioning the subtitle upwards?
(Key-combination: [Shift]+[Up-arrow])
:wink:

Same here, try repositioning it :wink:
(even if it's strnage.... if he can read 2nd line in Hostel he should be able to read the 2nd lines also in this movie) :?

I agree, but maybe it has something to do with "remember" options.

When I did that a couple of times, the sub's did go up (uptill almost the top of the screen), but still no second line...

I Found out this same problem occurs when I try to play another widescreen (!) movie with it's subs.

But, however, I have re-installed BS-Player a couple of times, and after doing this about 6 times over, now it's working fine! I Still don't get it, I never changed anything in the Preferences or what so ever. I Hope it will not occur anymore.

Tnx alot for the help folks!
