crahses when cahnging audio tracks in video

ok so for some reason the player is not allowing me to change audio tracks i have tried everything i know how to do and even uninstall ed it. but for some reason it starts with the last audio track on the video file. ie directors commentary. this is on MKV files. then when i go to change files it just crashes. on one of the files it actually gives ma n error code
"mkx reconnect error: 80040217

any help would be appreciated

Can you tell us wich splitter is used for your mkv files (open a file->rightclick->options->filters->advanced->matroska splitter). And also the codecs used to decode audio and video streams.

Try to update BSPlayer. I recall that this bug was present in an earlier release, but don't remember wich one.

You could use Gabest's Matroska Splitter, if you don't need the extra features that the complex Haali filter provides, like: bitrate monitor, automatic selection of audio stream, proper MPEG-2 in Matroska support.

does coreavc work with Gabest's Matroska Splitter? ill try that then report back

I use gabest with CoreAVC with no problem. It's the lightest combination to be used for HDTV when having a CPU close to the lowest limit.

Yes, it also worked for me without problems.
