Vista hangs when trying to run BSPlayer
 

Hi,

I'm running BSPlayer 2.14 on Vista Ultimate.
Everytime I try to run BSPlayer, my entire system hangs, and I can only
get it too work again when I reset. Is this a known problem with a known solution? Otherwise might there be any solutions for it?

Some info:
Vista Ultimate, fully up to date.
Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT videocard driver version 101.41
A8N-SLI Premium Mobo bios version 1013
As said before BSPlayer 2.14

Can't think of anything else that can be the problem.

Maybe the problem is WhenU Save adware startup. Have you completed the installation process by connecting to the Internet?
Otherwise it could be you antivirus program that hangs when trying to decompress bsplayer executable, which antivirus program have you installed?

In a month or so it will be released a full Vista compatible version of BS.Player :wink:

I've got AVG Internet Security installed. I've removed the WhenU spyware junk manually. I could try running BSplayer while turning off my virusscanner. But even when I'm trying to install BSplayer, it executes an instance of BSPlayer during setup, and causes my computer to hang. I've got cable internet, so my internet connection is always up and running.

Anyhow, thanks for the advice, and I'm going to try and run it without my antivirus on.

But if you try to run it without your AV software, unplug from the internet cable...unless you have a good firewall..

How can you run BS.Player without WhenU Save adware? before you restart BSplayer hangs, but after the restart? BS.Player starts even without WhenU Save?
If it doesn't start, it's because it needs WhenU to run, otherwise... let me know :P

I'm not aware of BSPlayer checking for WhenU when it starts. BSPlayer always makes my pc hang, even NumLock isn't responding if it's hanging (and that's what you don't want to happen). Ain't to worried about hackers or anything like that, I've got my defenses ready :)

At this moment I'm at home with my parents (student :)), but when I get to my apartment I'm going to check things out.
