You can burn them. Use DVD-UDF format when writing.

To transform them use VirtualDubMod

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=352709

or Total Video Converter

There is no reason why you couldn't create a data disc with files of any format. Do you want to recompress your files to MPEG-2 and burn a Video DVD? MkvExtract together with MkvExtractGUI can be used to permanently split Matroska (mkv) container into elementary streams: audio, video and subtitles.

Although VirtualDubMod will be able to demultiplex audio from any file, it is not able to handle H.264/AVC video in its native format.

@J7N
Usually mkv files are around 4,5 GB. You can't write such files on a data DVD unless you use UDF format.

@luismgochoa
If we talk about DVD9 files, get a DL disk and burn them, using same method.

Another simple method if the files are too big for a DVD is to use mkvmerge GUI to split the files into 2 smaller segments.

Ah you were talking about those TV rips. Gotta learn to read between the lines.

There's also a real example of a rip release too big for a DVD+R. It's HD rip of "The Day After Tomorrow (2004)", probably meant to be written to a DVD-R. If this is the case, converting to MP4 won't help, since Matroska already has the lowest overhead.
