Tizio. What can a video codec possibly do with parsing the container format? Audio streams must be available even if the video can't be decoded at all.

There is nothing wrong with l3codec.ax v1.9. It can decode without problems 256/320 kBit/s streams. And no matter what *.acm are installed in the system, DS filters will be querried first.

Strange, I don't have any l3codec.ax on my sytem. Then it doesn't come with windows itself. There is no problem with decoding 256-320 kbps files with native windows MP3 decoder. The problem is in sampling frequency. Sometimes you'll find MP3 files with 48.000 hz sampling rate on wich windows' decoder fails,
The splitter must split corectly the video stream and the audio stream.
