Anyone who experienced video problems with Forceware 84.21?

Hello,
I have necessarry codecs installed and tried that situation under Windows 2000 and XP with the latest Service packs. I have Bsplayer Pro but sometimes, not always, almost rarely, if i play DivX files it gets very weird and vertical/horizontal lines mixed weird colours. But usually it doesn't happen.

I only tried my old Geforce4 MX440 with Nvidia Forceware 84.21 driver and Divx Latest codec (mine is 6.6.1.4)

Sherlock and Codec Sniper do not report any codec conflicts or breaks.

If anyone has experienced that 84.21 forceware driver resulting with problematic video playback, please inform and it would be a great share for me.

Is it a BSplayer bug or what can i do?

Thanks guys.

I've been using that forceware-version for my good old Geforce4 MX440 for quote a long period without any such problems. With respect to DivX-codec I'm still using DivX5.2.1 (only a very very short period I've tried DivX6.x, but as it had/has nothing of real interest to offer me when compared with 5.2.1, which (at least then; I don't know about now) was far more reliable, I rolled back to 5.2.1 which I'm now still using as my main video decoder/filter to my full satisfaction).

So do you recommend to roll-back Divx 5.21?

Because my graphic card works fine with other file formats.

I just informed you that I (still) have the same graphics card as you have (at least in principle; e.g. on-board memory might be different) and that I've used it for a rather long period of time with the same forceware-version as indicated by you.
However, I'm not using DivX6 version (and do not really intend to either).
I cannot possibly tell you that what you're experiencing is caused by either the DivX version or (e.g.) perhaps by some "old age" flaws, which might be developping in your graphics card. I can only tell you that (fortunately) I've - sofar - not ever experienced what you described in your first post of this thread.

Tizio, are you using DivX 6.x or 5.21?

Additionaly, with forceware 84.21, "off-topic" ; do you see a white dot or little white rectangle on the top-left of the XP loading screen XP(if you're using XP) for a instant at boot-up? (nearly to the end of loading progress)

Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply..
I'm using DivX 5
And yes, I see an underscore on the top-left corner during the loading process ;)

Thanks Tizio, you made me relaxed :)
