Audio is silent on second language track after 25 minutes...
 

BSPlayer pro 2.24.954 - winXP SP2 Divx codec pro 6.6 Xvid 1.1.3

When I play most of my videos that have two language tracks, and I switch to the second language the audio stops playing after 25 minutes: the audio stream 1 is fine, audio stream 2 plays for the first 25/30 minutes then the movie is silent.
It does not happen with the Dvix Player (included in the dvix 6 bundle).
Videos are Xvid, but some of them do play fine (using Gspot I can't see what it is different among them...) Audio is MP3 CBR and/or VBR in both or one of the two streams...different combinations but not logical results: some play correctly, some do not :-(
Any idea?

Unfortunately you fail to mention which codecs/filters BS.Player actually uses for playback: this is shown by BS.Player (with a video file loaded!) under (Rightclick >) "Options" > "Filters" > (Advanced).
It appears that DivX6.x has some features which can play strange tricks on its users. You could try if rolling back to DivX5.2.1 solves the problem.
Alternatively try using BS.Player's internal AVI splitter. (Hold down SHIFT while clicking on 'Filter management' in preferences and check 'Use internal AVI splitter').

Yes, as I thought and as you said, it has to do with the divx 6 filters.
BSPlayer was using dvixdec.ax version 6.7.0.1 but using BS.Player's internal AVI splitter, the second track is back again :)

OT: So do you think it is a bug of that filter or it has to do with some sort of compatibility with software? Since you mention that some dvix6 features can play strange tricks on its users, could you tell me what else so that I can see if some other problems I had had to do with that? :evil:

DivX 6 duplicates certain features of BSPlayer. This bloated package was mostly designed for simple DirectShow interfaces such as Windows Media Player, which don't support switching audio streams.
