Can't play DVDs - weird I noticed this on previous versions too and after few attempts I gave up and used MPC instead (which is real shame, given BSP's comfortable controls and stuff). When I try to play a DVD, it starts, but the screen is just a mess. Say a 2yr old playing around in MSPaint with spray of green and black colors. What gives? |
An old (ancient) build of ab MPEG2 decoder or FFdshow |
Nope, I always download latest FFD... |
OK, but is FFDshow used to decode the DVD ? Or another filter ? Play the DVD, rightclick->options->filters. |
What am I supposed to find there? I got no idea what plays the DVD and I don't really care, I just wanna watch it! FFD is supposed to decode all media formats. |
I give up, this is useless. Downloaded 3 some dvd filters/codecs and whatever and none work. I'll just keep using MCP. Phew. What a bs. |
Installing FFdshow does not make it the default filter for DVD playback. In that menu I was specifying in previous post you see wich filter it's used to play the dvd. If we know exactly wich one is responsible for the poor playback, we can tell you the next step to follow. |
