black border hello i have a black border at the bottom and it wont go away , it started to show up some time ago , i have tried reinstall bsplayer .. update gfx drivers , reinstall codecs but the black border is still there at the bottom when playing movies.. whhy? |
Maybe you accidentally switched to "Movie mode" (by depressing [M])? Try if depressing [M] or the number [5] on numeric keyboard "repairs" it. |
black border that might have started it all .. while fibbling around with the buttons but it didnt correct anything to press 5 or M .. |
Can you upload a picture of your screen? (And please also mention which BS.Player version/build you're using.) |
I've seen this in MPlayer2.exe one time. Do you have ffdshow installed? |
black border peter: i cannot upload a snapshot at this time . i have bsplayer pro 2.28.964 j7n: yes i use ffdshow , it came with codecs |
Re: black border Does the problem occur also when ffdshow is not loaded? |
black border im not sure.. how do i unload ffdshow ? do i have to uninstall |
Re: black border You could play a format that is not handled by ffdshow or turn off a specific format on the program's config page. This way we can rule out ffdshow as source of the problem. FF is able to 1) resise and crop, 2) show letterbox for subtitles, 3) do perspective correction. Sometimes these settings become wrong and it won't display the original size anymore no matter what you do. |
black border ok , yes i managed to play a film clip without ffdshow loading and the black border was still there .. =/ |
But does this happen with every movie you play? To upload a picture of your screen simply upload it to imageshack or if you want directly to BSplayer site (when posting click on Add an Attachment) To take a screenshot press P on bsplayer or (it depends on your rendering mode) Print Screen on your keyboard and paste it to Paint, or with an external device (camera, mobile phone with camera, etc.) Have you enabled the "Extend picture to" in BSplayer's Video rendering preferences window? If you pan-in (O or CTRL+O) does it change? If you play that video with other players the black border is gone or not? |
black border hi, yes it happens with every movie and all extensions. WMP 11 plays movies without this problem. i save a picture like you said and this was a surprise , the picture saved correctly without any border , but when i watch movies it has a border still on the bottom (not necessery to attach picture now as it was accurate) when i pan out very much . the image is not centered there is more border on the bottom than on top |
Have you tried all the suggestions made by the other users here? Extend picture feature is enabled? If so disable it.. Change rendering mode and check the video card settings... You can also try to delete (or move) BSplayer's settings file, this way at next startup BSplayer will reset his settings and if it's a problem related to BSplayer settings it will be gone... You can find it under the following paths: Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\BSplayer\BSplayer.xml Windows Vista C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\BSplayer\BSplay er.xml Or in C:\Program Files\Webteh\BSplayer\BSplayer.xml if you choose to place it in installation dir |
black border yes i have fibbled around with the most functions but still a border. thanks anyway i will try to delete the setting files and see if it helps |
Let me know if you succeed in solving your problem that way http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/images_hwu/smilies/49.gif |
