Default Comparing 2 avi files

I have 2 versions of the same avi file.
There are a few bytes difference. Obviously, one of them is slightly corrupted.

Is there any way to pinpoint the exact time where they are different?
I can use fc command but it can only tell me the location in hex.

Also, is there any util that can tell whether an avi is corrupted?
For asf file, there is a asfcheck.exe that can do the job.
I am hoping for a similar util for avi file.

I would appreciate your insights.
TIA
