You are greek, right? The subtitles you are 'attaching' are also in greek, right?
Go to Preferences (Ctrl+p) -> Subtitles -> Font -> Script -> Greek.

Everything should be working fine now. ;)

It is incorrectly dispalayed by BSplayer, MediaInfo info is right.
And, no it's not a VCD.
