I suspect this just enables high performance mode...

I suspect this just enables high performance mode on WiFi which uses more battery but gets better speeds. The HTC one x has this option at least.

Popup player?

Just got the new update and the notes state that one of the new features is "pop up video and background playback" this sounds quite interesting but im damned if I can figure out how to use it.
