The Wait for vertical blank option in BSPlayer...

The Wait for vertical blank option in BSPlayer sometimes does nothing. Or shall I say, DirectShow doesn't always allow to turn vsync on.

How do you map those 24 frames of a movie to a 85 refresh cycles of the display? You could write the current frame disregarding at which position the electron beam of the display is, or you can wait...

I wonder how those consoles manage to cope with large 3D games and now also demanding media files with such a ridiculous ammount of memory and CPU speed [1] [2]. :roll:

Adicoto, do you know what vsync setting really does since you suggested it disabled (http://bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=38186)? (I know what it is supposed to do in general.)
